Nothing on this site is legal, tax, investment, immigration, medical or financial advice, and reading it does not make you a client of this office. No relationship is created until we have agreed one in writing.
General information, not advice
Every guide on this site generalises. It has to: it was written for many readers and it does not know your nationality, your structure, your family, your tax position or what you signed three years ago. Any one of those can change the answer completely, and often does.
Where a guide touches something with consequences, treat it as the beginning of a conversation with a qualified adviser rather than the end of one.
Thai rules move
Immigration allowances, tax thresholds, ownership rules, licensing requirements and filing obligations all change in Thailand, sometimes at short notice and sometimes between a cabinet decision and its publication. Every guide carries the date it was last revised and names the authority to verify it with.
- Verify the current position with the relevant authority before you act: the Immigration Bureau, the Board of Investment, the Land Department, the Department of Business Development, the Revenue Department, or the Royal Thai Embassy in your own country.
- A date on a page is a checkpoint to verify, not a promise that the position still holds today.
- Where a change is pending but not yet in force, we say so rather than pretending certainty.
We are a private office, not a law firm
Asia Global Partners coordinates. We convene qualified Thai counsel, accountants, valuers and specialist partners, we hold the process together, and we remain accountable to you for it. We do not give legal opinions ourselves, and we do not hold ourselves out as qualified to.
Where a matter needs a legal view, it comes from a lawyer instructed independently of whoever set the arrangement up in the first place. On anything touching structure, that independence is the point.
Structure, ownership and compliance
Our material on nominee arrangements, company substance and restructuring exists for one purpose: to help owners understand their position and reach a lawful one. It is not a guide to concealing anything, it will not help anybody survive an inspection, and we will not assist with any of that.
If you think you may already be exposed, the guidance is the same everywhere on this site: instruct a qualified Thai lawyer immediately and tell them everything, including the parts you would rather not. Complete instructions produce better options. Incomplete ones close doors.
Money, tax and investment
We describe how things work. We do not advise on whether an investment is a good idea, we do not project returns, and we do not advise on your tax position in Thailand or at home. Those questions belong with your own regulated advisers, and where a guide raises one it says so.
All guidance on moving money assumes lawful, documented channels. We do not advise on circumventing any reporting requirement, exchange control, sanctions regime or customs duty, in any jurisdiction.
Medical and wellbeing content
Where guides discuss hospitals, health checks or wellness, they cover logistics, language support and what to expect as a patient or a family. They never recommend a treatment, a procedure or a clinician, and they contain no clinical claims. Medical decisions belong with qualified doctors.
Places, prices and partners
- Businesses named in the guides are long established and named because they are useful landmarks, not because they pay us. We do not accept payment for editorial mentions.
- Prices, rates and costs are indicative, move with season and exchange rate, and should be confirmed at the time you book.
- Where an arrangement can be booked through this site, some partners return a commission to the office. This is disclosed wherever it applies, and the price to you is never higher for it.
- Availability, opening and quality all change. Confirm anything that matters directly with the establishment.
Case patterns
Where the guides describe how a situation typically unfolds, those are composites drawn from what advisers in this market see repeatedly. They are not accounts of any individual client, they name nobody, and they are not reports of court decisions.
Third-party sites
Links leaving this site are provided because they are useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, and their own terms and privacy practices apply once you arrive.
Limits
To the fullest extent the law allows, this site is provided as it stands and we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on general information published here. Nothing in this paragraph limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects what we owe a client under an engagement we have actually agreed.
If any of the above touches a decision you are actually making, the sensible next step is a private conversation, where we can talk about your facts rather than everybody's.
These pages describe how this office operates. They are not legal advice to you, and they do not create a professional relationship. If your own circumstances raise a question, take advice on your own facts.
