Asia Global Partners

Who we are

A small office,
deliberately.

Asia Global Partners is a private office in Thailand. We work for a limited number of families and principals, across everything their life here touches, and we answer the telephone.

The private office is an old idea. Before there were consultancies and platforms and account managers, there were a few people who handled everything for a few families and were trusted to do it properly. The model works because the relationship is singular and long, and because the people in it know your circumstances well enough that you never have to explain them twice.

What we have added is a country. Thailand rewards people who understand it and quietly penalises those who do not, and the penalties are rarely dramatic. They look like a lease that cannot be enforced, a school place lost by two weeks, a company structure that fails at the bank, a villa bought without checking the access road. We exist to make sure none of that happens to the people we work for.

The circle we work in.

The office draws on people with long exposure to how wealth actually lives in Asia. Hospitality, at ownership and management level, where you learn which properties are well run rather than well photographed. Private service, where butlers and estate managers have spent careers anticipating what a household needs before it is asked for. Entertainment and public life, where privacy is an operational requirement and not a preference. And families whose own affairs cross several countries, who know from experience what good advice feels like and what it does not.

We are deliberately unspecific about names. That is the point of the arrangement. What matters is that when you ask a question, the answer comes from somebody who has had to solve it in reality, often at short notice, for somebody who was not in a mood to be disappointed.

The standards we hold ourselves to.

We answer.

The commonest failure in this market is silence. Enquiries go unanswered, calls are returned days later, and the person waiting concludes, correctly, that they are not important. An office that cannot answer cannot be relied upon for anything else, so we treat responsiveness as the first discipline rather than a courtesy.

We say what we do not know.

Thai rules move, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. When a position has changed, or is about to, we say so and tell you where to verify it. Every guide on this site carries a date and names the authority to check with, because confident wrong answers cost more than honest uncertainty.

We do not take work we cannot do well.

There are matters better handled by a specialist firm, another jurisdiction, or nobody at all. We would rather make the introduction and keep the relationship than accept a mandate that will end badly. Turning work away is the least commercial and most useful thing an office can do.

Discretion is the default.

We do not publish a client list, we do not use names as currency, and we do not photograph our work. Several of the people around this office are recognisable, and they are here precisely because nothing about them is discussed. What is arranged for you is not material for anyone else.

We stay accountable across partners.

Complex work involves specialists: immigration counsel, conveyancers, event producers, hospitals, security. We coordinate them and remain the single accountable relationship, which means the failure of a supplier is our problem to solve rather than yours to discover.

We keep the knowledge current.

The Private Desk is not a brochure that was written once. It is revised as rules change, as prices move, and as places rise and fall. Guest feedback and what our own people encounter on the ground both feed back into it, which is why it is useful rather than merely large.

Who we are for.

Principals and families arriving in Thailand with real requirements and the means to meet them properly: buying or building, moving children, establishing a company, treating a medical matter, holding an occasion, or simply intending to spend a serious part of each year here and wanting it handled. We work equally with the people who support them, because an assistant or family office manager with the right information is often the person who makes everything else possible.

We are probably not the right office for a short holiday, and we will say so kindly. For everything above, we are exactly the right one.

A partnership, not a pitch.

Asia Global Partners works with a limited number of private partners, and fit matters on both sides. Tell us what brings you to Asia; we will tell you, honestly, whether we are the right office to walk in with you.
